Dubai: RTA completes 2 km road upgrade in Nad Al Sheba 3
Project boosts access to schools and community facilities
DUBAI – The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has completed a significant package of road development works in Nad Al Sheba 3, paving 2 kilometres of internal roads, adding road markings, providing parking spaces, and installing 50 lighting units and directional traffic signs.
The project is designed to enhance traffic flow and improve access to schools and community facilities, contributing to better mobility for residents and visitors alike.
The works are part of RTA’s broader efforts to upgrade infrastructure across Dubai, aiming to meet the demands of urban growth, population expansion, and road safety. By improving traffic management and providing soft mobility options, the authority continues to support the quality of life for communities throughout the emirate.
Development plan
The Nad Al Sheba 3 project forms part of a comprehensive development plan covering internal roads in Nad Al Sheba 3 and 4. Planned works include paving roads, constructing traffic links, establishing dedicated cycling and pedestrian tracks, and providing additional parking spaces. Completion of the full project is expected in the first quarter of 2027.
Streets surrounding Kings’ School, including Street 60, Street 62, Street 63, and Street 65, were specifically upgraded with directional signage, road markings, and traffic-calming measures. These enhancements aim to improve road safety for school users, ensure smoother traffic flow, and facilitate vehicle entry and exit during busy school drop-off and pick-up times. The measures are expected to reduce delay times by up to 35%.

Nad Al Sheba has experienced sustained infrastructure development in line with the rapid growth of residential communities and supporting facilities.
Home to more than 30,000 residents, the area enjoys a strategic position near major corridors such as Dubai-Al Ain Road and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road, linking multiple parts of the city. These upgrades reinforce Nad Al Sheba’s importance within Dubai’s transport and urban planning system, ensuring continued accessibility and efficiency for road users.
